Hi,

I am still learning too as this is my first time out also.  I found with my camera (Primos Truth Cam 35) that inside the timber or for after dark shots about 30 feet or so is about the farthest it would reach (edited this from 30 feet being the best, sorry, missed stated what I mean to say).   Anything much beyond that and could only see the eyes at night.

Another thing is to set it up at home and experiment, have the kids or you walk by it and see how quick and at what distance movement is detected and how the pictures look.   You can do that in the yard during the day and night and get a real good idea of how far to set it to get the best possible pictures.

Anyway, its all part of the fun of learning something new.   I got a late start this year, and did not want mine out while modern deer & elk seasons were open, but cannot wait till the woods settle down to get it back out there and see what I can "catch" with it.   Good luck, have fun and be sure to post some pictures when you get them!

It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...

Sarcasm: The ability to insult stupid people without them realizing it.

My level of sarcasm depends on your level of stupidity...

Sarcasm makes smart people laugh and stupid people mad.
