Trolling for trout near Olympia
« on: March 30, 2008, 10:43:52 AM »
I live in King co and want to bring the kids down to fish with Grandpa near Olympia. Can anyone recommend a lake to troll for trout ? Not going until after the opener in April. Prefer smaller lakes with lots of trout for kids to not get bored. 16'boat & need a launch. Thanks.

I'd go to Pattison. It's always got a lot of fish.

St. Clair is always good and they are catching some trout in Black Lake.

If you get bored on St. Clair you can fish for bass and othe sunfish.  It is a fun lake/lakes to fish.

Aren't St. Clair and Black Lake open year 'round?

Yep. And they usually stock St. Clair at the end of March.

Lake Lawrence is a sleeper also, we've caught some toads out of there.
