Shot her at at 400 yds.with a rem 700 300 RUM. Had a hard time finding the entry wound, just seen a massive exit wound in the top back portion of the skull, i was aiming center of head while her head was turned broadside. got home, while pulling her around during skining my fingers fell into her head, the bullet went right down the ear canal without any visual signs. the shot made me proud.

Awesome!  Congrats on your first Bear!  Are you planning on turning her into a rug?

Very nice Bear, got my first last year during spike elk season in the blues, he did not even know what hit him, at less then 50ft while i was leaning against a tree eating jerky looking for elk for my hunting partners. and the bear was spooked by them and did not even see me  :chuckle:  :chuckle:  :IBCOOL:  :bfg: BOOM one shot, MAN do they make an eerie sound just before they take there last breathe. again congrats nice looking bear.
