Purchased a Huskemaw scope
«
on:

Anybody ever seen the new Huskemaw scopes that The best of the west guys are manufacturing at Gunwerks. Cant wait to get it. Had the custom Ballistic compensators built for my 7mm Rem mag, and they will be added to the scope. Its 5-20X 30mm tube 50 objective. Same glass as the night force scopes. Pretty excited to see how it will perform. Ill post pics when it arrives. Anybody have one of these?

Ya I bought it off of Best of the west. Its was $985 to the door, it should be here anytime this week, they shipped it yesterday. After many hours of research and hands on with all the different scopes out there I decided to take the chance and try the Huskemaw hopefully it pans out to be everything they told me it was, them guys sure do have the long range shooting thing down and everything about this particular scope was built for the longrange hunting situation in mind. Let ya know when I get it.

Hey 257wby, Got the scope today. It way surpases my expectations of what I was expecting. It is of the utmost of quality. I truly believe that it is night force glass that they are using. Side by side next to my $800.00 Leupold VXL 4.5x14x50, the Huskemaw is so much scrisper and brighter, all the way down to low light to now light. Ive been looking through it all evening in the changing light and it is the *censored*. It came with a great video on how to mount, Lap, zero and calculate all the data for the compesator. I am now thinking about sending the gun to them after bear season here and having them compile the data from my gun for the scope, they require a lot of data at various yardages out to 1000yds, I think Im going to let them do it. Ill post pics later this weekend for ya. James

Right on!! I've never been too impressed with Leupold Optics, especially the clarity and low light performence. Nikon, Ziess, Swaro, Kahles trump Leupold by a mile.....IMO

Did you talk to any BR shooters? I would think if it's that great of a scope and take all the guess work out of 600 to 1k shots they would all have them. The smith who built my gun and has smithed over 10 world record guns has never used one or mounted one. Good luck

Ill tell you what, Ill take some pics of it right now. I just installed my HS precision mag conversion kit on the gun tonight, pretty sweet. Now Im just waiting for the Barrell and the Timney trigger. The scope is everything they talked it up to be, absolutely crystal clear and takes in a ton of light in low light conditions. Been trying to find a bear to take with my newly rebuilt setup.

The scope is a 5-20x50, with medium one piece base and ring talleys. New Hs Precision stock, and clip conversion, Timney on order, and Im having a stainless #4 fluted barrel made in Arlington by Benchmark barrels. Its 7MM mag, should be a tack driver when done, not that it dont shot good now.
