I actually like to sit and watch a young buck. They can be quite entertaining. I even had a small 2pt white tail sit and play with me for about an hour once over by Curlew. He would walk up to me, with in about 10', I would take a step back, he would come forward. I would walk towards him he would bounce up in the air and back up. This went on for awhile. I was laughing so hard out loud that I think it confused him. I finally had to walk away but he kept following me.  :chuckle:

we had a two point about ten years ago play with us too.  I wish I would have had a video camera. I went on a push kicked him out. good sized forky.  Later on we were sitting in a stand of timber. I hear something be hind us.  My buddy and I were like 50 yards a part.  I see this same buck come up behind him.  put his head down around the tree he was sitting by and sniffed him.  Then walks over to me and does the same thing.  Talk about cool.  He went about his buisness milling around. we got tired of looking at him and decided to walk up the hill.  The buck had the same Idea.  He led point all the way up to the ridge.  We would stop , He would stop.  You don't see this very often.  It will be one of the most memerable times in the woods.
Happiness is being in the woods!!!

 I saw a beautiful little spike just this week, nubs couldn't have been more than three inches long. Hopefully he'll live long enough to be a dandy.

With the right nutrients & a lot of luck he should be a nice buck in a few more years ...
