DROP-TINE Montana Muley (Fireside Taxidermy)
« on: November 03, 2010, 04:28:21 PM »
I am new to the forum and also a new site sponsor.  Wanted to introduce myself and give a little background info on myself and my business.  My wife and I live in Toledo, WA. (past nine years).  I have been self employed for the last ten years.

I have been an avid bow and centerfire hunter (some would say an Elkaholic) for the last 30 years.  Hunted several states and have always felt the most at home tromping around through the woods.  I enjoy working with my hands crafting/building things.

I became interested in Taxidermy about ten years ago, and finally got my opportunity about five years ago.  A local Taxidermist with 25 years experience took me in and I trained with him for two years, and then opened my own shop (after he retired).  I have specifically focused on North American Mammals.  I am committed to continuing education and staying current with the latest quality materials and methods.

I would say my Taxidermy work is more of a passion then a job.  I have been impressed with the high level of quality work from the other Taxidermist on the forum and am excited to be a part.  Thank you, Duane   :)

P.S. hope you enjoy the photos.
