Elk hunting in the GMU 340
« on: November 08, 2010, 08:52:51 AM »
Something is wrong with the elk numbers in the GMU 340. Been hunting it for 30+ yrs and have never seen nothing like this. I guess what got me wondering was the game dept cut the cow tags down from 250 to 100 this yr, just wondering if anyone else noticed.

Yeah, I did notice the numbers being way down.  Personally, I think it had to do with the weird spring, summer and fall weather.  They haven't moved down in elevation yet.  It might be a nice late archery elk season though
