NE WA White Tails are Rutting Hard
« on: November 09, 2010, 12:40:23 PM »
This is crazy, I've been told that North East Washington White Tails are rutting hard, now  :yike:  Here is a pic and yes I have permission of a rutting buck shot during Modern.  The hunter is Dick, congrats to a beauty of a WT buck.  And congrats to Sherman Creek Outfitter who guided Dick to this awesome buck!!

Damn it, and I was going to head over to hunt late archery tomorrow but decided to wait until Thanksgiving.  :bash: Oh well.

The white tail bucks are just beginning to follow the does around. Friend of mine saw two small bucks trailing a doe yesterday evening. He also saw a large buck following a doe just at dark. They do not all start at the same time. We are about 10-14 days from when I see the most activity. (bucks chasing does in the middle of the day)

I've got 4 whitetail bucks hanging around buggin' me. I did see a buck charge at the doe 2 days ago, but that's it. Maybe I'll be lucky tomorrow and get rid of the biggest buck of them all. My first year bowhunting. If I do, I'll post pictures.

I have not seen the bucks rutting hard yet.  I am finding some scrapes and seeing many does.  Usually I start seeing the bucks looking for does (pre-rut) around the 11th.

Still in the pre rut around here.  Scrapes and rubs, but no bucks with the does yet.  Lets hope this cold front is enough to push em over the edge.
