Damn Poachers
« on: November 12, 2010, 05:11:23 PM »
GRRRRRRRRR.

Well, after months of scouting and working my arss off to get private property permission I was feeling pretty good about things. I have kept quiet about what I have found, just because there were many Tags before me (Teanaway Any Bull Archery tag) and 10 others with my tag. I have been out every week since June and seeing some things that had me flat out stoked.

I had 3 bulls targeted, all monsters. About 8 weeks ago, bull 1 was hit by a car down by Elk Meadows. It took the Gamie 20 minutes to get there and the horns had already been cut off. 6 weeks ago bull 2 was gored to death, and the gamie recovered the head and antlers. This morning we find the carcass of bull 3, laying whole with nothing missing but his head from the shoulders up. Are you freekin' kidding me. :bash:

We called it in to the warden and hope they can put something together and nail the rat-bass-turds who did this. Anyone hears or sees someone braging about a monster they took this year and it sounds funny let me know. It could be this bull. Poached out of 335 (Teanaway) in the last week.

I still have some back-up bulls on the radar, but nothing in this class. With 2 weeks to go all three off the table, and not one killed by a hunter. It feels like a gut punch after so much hard work trying to make the most out of the dream tag. GRRRRRRRRRR

Hey groovin,

If you feel like PM'n I'd love to hear about that one. Right now I have several 6x in the radar, but all in the 300-320 range. Nothing like the big 3
