swan lake, montana
« on: November 16, 2010, 10:29:07 AM »
Has anyone hunted around Swam Lake in Montana off highway 83? I have a friend that lives in Bigfork and she says that she sees tons of deer driving back and forth along that highway. A friend of hers mentioned a spot to check out but its tough to really know anything when you aren't actually talking to the person but rather a friend's friend...  :dunno:

Craploads of deer in that area.I was born in kalispell,my dad lives in Marion. That stretch of highway is where deer whistles on cars was tested.Any given day I would count over 100 deer from the logging truck windshield.Swan valley is packed with whitetails!!!

My uncle lives on the swan and drives back and forth to polson everyday. Between him and my aunt they have hit many deer around there. He doesn't hunt except with the pickup. :chuckle:

That is what I hear. My friend says it is like combat driving through there, especially at night. She has had plenty of close calls!  :o
