Im positive it is the same buck. raffle mule posted some pictures a few pages back and it shows the same chunk missing out of his left ear. He would not grow that back i dont think.

IF true, that's amazing the inches he lost over one year.  Losing a foot long inline is just crazy.  Especially with a great horn growth year.  He doesn't look like an old buck in the harvest photos.  Was he aged?

I would say it is the same buck.  The rack has a lot of the same characteristics.  Hard to tell in pictures but it looks like he added a little mass and tine length over last year.  It is not uncommon for bucks to not grow the same cheaters every year.

2506, what is the length of the main beam on that shed?

Wow that makes me really wonder with those pictures stickslinger just put together.  Same ear, same tear, i'm still not sold on it being the same buck though due to that massive inline being totally gone the second year. Great pictures 2506.

Here is an example of a buck that had the genetics or whatever to grow extra points and how over 4 years how the extras changed locations.

Good example. And no wonder 509er and I give you and Antlerking crap about not leaving any sheds for others. Oh I take that I back I see that you only have 7 of 8. Nice of you to leave one.  :chuckle:
:chuckle:  I saw him before he shed that year and that side was completely broke off about 2-3" above the eyeguard.  He did have a double eyeguard though.  I never could find that one!  :chuckle:

How about two ears wit same tear? Now Im really thinking. You know it would be even harder if brads buck showed no signs of abnormal point. His buck has an inline on the right and another inine on the right that broke. Its in that bucks genes to have extras. Kinda cool to see a buck change like that if he did. Makes me wonder about other bucks I have watched in same areas now.  :bash:

Here is the right ear mark.

Hmmm the same tear on the same ears on two bucks in the same general area two years apart, now i think its the same buck, especially after the antler changes that Lowe posted up, i never knew they could change so much.  I always figured cheaters and extra points were often retained in the same location on the antler consecutive years.

I know you don't care about score and neither would I on that deer, but I think your tapes a little high.   Some might critisize you later if you spout 190s.   Its probably a solid 180, or range 175-180.   AND no, I am not talking trash, as I think its absolutely an outstanding trophy.  Just keeping the numbers real.  Let us know if you officially score it.  180 is an AWESOME deer.

Any news on this yet.  Its about that time.

Looking forward to the official score.  Again for the record I think its an awesome deer and even if its a 170 deer I think that is awesome.  I'm just curious.  No one needs to worry about eating crow.

Not to take this way off topic, but has there been an official score on Tony's buck?  Like others have said, who gives a sh*t about the score as both bucks represent the tags well, but I was just curious.

+1, thats one hell of a first buck regardless the score, Brad should be very proud. I doubt we will ever see a official score sheet for the other buck. :twocents:
