Pheasant / Ducks
« on: November 17, 2010, 01:51:15 PM »
Alright folks, I'm on a budget here.. In the middle of paying for a wedding so I can't afford Cooke or something of that nature.

Any ideas (don't give up your honeyholes!) on where I could go take my lab for a walk and perhaps jump some eastside pheasant?  I'm a westside duck hunter that has been wanting to pheasant hunt for years, finally has the dog for it, but I really just don't want to pay $90 to fight crowds up here.

Will trade hunts

Thanks!

Curtis

Sunnyside wildlife area, they release some in there, so they arent all wild. You wont be by yourself in there.

East side release areas are no extra charge, just need a small game license.

West side is almost over but you could purchase a 3 day license for $44.  You could hunt both weekend days at 8:00am with that.

Go to the WDFW "HUNTING MAP"function.
It shows all find of areas to get public access to this areas.
Regardless you are going to have to go east.
Anywhere the Basin is good.

Royal City Hunt club. I think you pay $100 for a whole year and gain access to a ton of land. the money goes to the local boosters too.

Thanks for the tips guys!!

I'm engaged and currently with civilian job, army reserves, wedding plans, etc. I've been slammed and haven't had any time to scout this year.  I didn't do any big game at all this year, only birds!!

Thanks again!

Curtis
