I expect to see an elk walk out on the trail in front of me when looking at that pic. Thanks for posting it.

fixin to tack up my horse stretch.. miss that horse.. he was a pretty damn good horse. hadda lotta attitude, but those make the best lead horses.. he was sold by the folks we leased some horses from..i now ride a 7 year old app named matty. he must be a reincarnation of stretch, because they are exactly the same in their mannerisms...

Nice pics.
HOME SWEET HOME! You said it brother. Maybe I should set my wall tent up tonight, just to make sure all the poles are still there.

some of the burns from the big fire of 2000. the burns are a huge asset to the deer and elk. i love to hunt the burns, but sometimes it appears surreal like and its easy to misjudge yardage. i feel that the burns have done tons to increase the calf numbers in our area. i love everything about the burns except riding or packing thru them at nightime when the wind is howling and the snow is coming down sidewise and trees are snapping and falling. oh my, it can get quite scary in there.

Old burns are awesome to hunt.....pain in the ass to travel throuh with stock or camp in, especially when they are about 10 years old.
