Question as to the location of the Cottonwoods release site

I know that they use to release birds down pretty low on durr road (like 1 mile off of umptanum). I was looking at the cottonwoods release site and it looks like it is closer to selah than Ellensburg. If I am coming from ellensburg, do i need to cross the creek and get all the way up by the towers?

Yes, cross the creek go past the towers and down the other side to the bottom.  It is really only about 2 miles from the end of Sheep company.
