Any Success in the Toutle?? nov 6-16??

just curious....any1 do any good in the Toutle rifle permit hunt nov 6-16??? had a buddy who drew it in a partnership with his son and they didnt fill it. said he saw alot of elk but couldnt get shots at bulls he wanted. what a picky hunter hahaha

If you want a 5 pt or larger you have a decent chance of getting skunked.  Spikes are a dime a dozen in the Toutle.  They should make it 4 pt or better.

thats what ive heard. ive never hunted it or been anywhere relatively close to the area hunting. my buddy who had the tag said he had a spike opening moring dead run but didnt shoot he obviously wanted bigger...i would have taken it. meat in the freezer!!

I could have shot numerous 3 and 4 point bulls today while hunting for my cow. I think the biggest one might have been 11-12" wide  :chuckle:
