Alright, ok, a couple of gun courses on safety and handling. Can't argue there, however, I'm still a doubtfull SOB. Gonna have to get used to it. The fact that you are A: sticking with it B: maybe legit is not lost.

If everything is on the up and up then I'll say you can learn quite a bit on this site. A lot of folks that know a hell of a lot more than I do.

I'm still a doubter though.

ive really been searching around for good info on deer hunting. id like to meet alot of older hunters because i could really learn alot and i also might find more people to go hunting with.
i decided not to take the hunters ed test today because they are changing the course dec 15th and the last field tesing day is dec 11 and i cant make it to that so im waiting till after the 15th to take the course. i dont want to waste 15$

Your all a bunch of tards...
If the "said person" was truely "fishing", or "Scamming" or any of the accused....  As most of you know, he would have been out on the first  mention of the words....
If not, who cares.. your still a bunch of tards for bidding into his world...
Bottom line... dont be a dick....
Even if a scam, simple instructions or a general direction show a lot more about character than dwelling on the "words" or "phrase" that your vast experiance as a detective or laywer can pinpoint as fake....
We all suck at spelling, grammer, politics, etc...
Help a dude out... comment on his victories.... help him out on learining the loops... direct him to help, or dont answer... but dont be a dick...
Keeps a lot of dudes from sharin their stories... to include me...
And man.... being from the NW, and being stuck in FL... I live off the stories that y'all post....
Dont like em.... Dont post.... Just dont be a dick....

Raw0192...welcome to the site. Sorry about the initial greeting but if you have been reading on the site you can almost understand the apprehensions of the members. You have a year as mentioned, use it to find your info. Find a person or persons to take you out. You mentioned you were/are in boy scouts perhaps someone there hunts :dunno:...ask the Dads as a lot of boys your age do not hunt as girls are their only intrest. Perhaps a Dad in your troop would be interested in taking you. Also as you take your hunter ed class look around and make a few introductions, if you shoot already with your folks look around the gun club for hunters and get some info there. Bottom line you will have to WORK to find a hunting partner/mentor then you will have to WORK more to get into the woods and then really WORK to find and bag a blacktail. Stick with it, stay active on this site and at the gun club and good luck.

Rawr needs to post the internet standard verification photo.  A self portrait with a shoe on your head, holding a note that has the date and says a random phrase.  How about, "Sometimes Lemonheads get stuck in my ear"

I have found someone who would take me out and mentor me on deer hunting. Thanks alot for all of the help. and i completely agree with your thoughts on the members of this site. almost every post i see contains the words 'troll' or 'scam'. if only people would realize this site was for hunting not ranting.

I almost can say that this is the initial hazing.  If you can weather this storm and stick around, You will have proved your fortitude and be accepted.  Stupid as it is, this seems to be the norm on any forum anywhere on the internet.

LOL.  This kid if legit definately shows his age and ignorance.  But then again at 13 I knew more than my elders as well, hell I was the smartest person in the world at 13.
