Columbia Springer!
« on: April 09, 2008, 10:38:24 AM »
So I went and battled the eliments and boats at Cathlamet for the last two days of the season, last Thursday and Friday.  Thursday was a pretty typical day down there.....roughly 10hrs. on the water with nothing to show for it.  Finally Friday my rod went off and I was rewarded with beatiful 20lb. Spring Chinook.

That kinda fishin' isn't for everyone, but for the guys who really love to fish it's a great time down there.  Too bad the season is already over.  Bonniville next!

Looks cold, I've caught a couple steelies right off the bank opposite you there, good area. Nice fish! I'm going to try my luck again this weekend.

Nice fish! Looks like roughly a hundred coming over the damn the last few days. I hope to make it down a couple times this year.

Oh Cowboy.....if you only knew!  I was trying the think of how long it had been since I actually landed one down at Cathlamet.....I came up with roughly 70hrs. on the water.  Pretty sad when you think about it.   :)  Persistancy!
