Commercial license holders, fur buyers, taxidermists attn.
« on: December 01, 2010, 08:20:08 PM »
I've been pursuing some rumors of a license increase for trappers. Not happening, but I did find out all licenses issued out of the Olympia office are going to get a $105 application fee added to their license next year. So effectively your license will be going up by $105.
I have some more phone calls to make but thought you might be interested what is in the works.

I heard somewhere that they are trying to make certain commerical licenses able to be sold at the same place you can get recreational licenses.

Yep,
Maybe I jumped the gun on this. Talked to Dave Ware yesterday about it and got a bit of bad information. Talked to Bill Joplin in licensing today and got the straight dope. Trapping licenses, including youth and non-resident,Furdealers license and taxidermy license are going to be available at license dealers so the $105 application will not apply. The commercial licenses that will be available at vendors will increase by 10% plus $2. So that's not so bad. If you have a commercial license that can only be renewed at the WDFW office it'll either be $70 or $105.

What, no, say it isn't so.
