I often don't clean my birds for a few days. Sometimes I'll hang them in my basement for a few days, or maybe stick them in the fridge. It's a very common practice in Europe, and they taste delicious.
Not exactly related to this post, but pheasant are apparently doing great in Pasco! I have a $hit ton of birdfeeders in my front yard and the other day there was a big male pheasant outside my front door, just kickin' it. I wanted to open the door and have it walk right in ... maybe it saw the ones on my wall and thought it was a sanctuary...
