Another Successful Trip to Bearpaw.
« on: December 03, 2010, 08:51:15 PM »
It seemed to be a slow late season this year  :dunno: . Adam connected on a crusher buck a few day's into our hunt then things went a little dry for us. Not being a very picky person, a couple day's later I took the first decent buck I saw,, or had a good shot at I should say  :chuckle: . Of course then the rut seemed to kick in  :bash:  :chuckle: (I'm still happy with my choice to shoot though) Jonathan was last up to bat and just couldn't get a shot at all the nice bucks we were seeing. 8 nice bucks in one day and not one shot fired, they were hallin a$$ chasen does around through the timber and he just couldn't get a good shot at one. With 15 minutes of shooting light left this over grown spike stepped out and just stood there  :dunno:. Jonathan had passed him earlier in the day when we rattled him in  :yike:, Yes that's right I was shocked too  :chuckle: . When he walked off Jonathan said "if it was last light I would have taken him, for a spike he's kinda big." So when he stepped out in-front of us again it didn't take long for the Olympic Arm's 243 WSSM to sound off and that's all she wrote for our late season deer hunt. All three tagged out and no tag soup  :EAT:  :brew:.
We truly have a great time hanging out with the Bearpaw crew and cant wait to go back next year...

Any guided hunt is out of the normal guys price range. Maybe some day when kids are raised and the economy turns around. I will stay with do it your self public land for now.

Not true, there were a lot of "normal People" there and they are reasonably priced hunts. But I respect & enjoy the do it your self hunts as well, that's why we do both. I never even thought of doing a guided hunt until I started getting emails about them, who to recommend, if we were ever going to show any guided hunts on the show, and so on. So that's why we go to bearpaw and show a couple hunts from there. They are Washington based (but have hunts available in other states as well), there prices are reasonable and they run a good guide service. Just passing along the word for those who want to look into it and can. Hope when all those kids are raised and the economy flips around you can treat yourself to one, it's a blast.
Hope you had a good season and have a great Christmas.

Sounds like a lot of fun and that buck of Adam's is a dandy!
I went to buy a chain for my chainsaw today so I stopped by Harbor Saw Supply in Aberdeen and when I went to pay for my chain, right there was a Titan Outdoors 3 dvd plus there was a big poster on the wall too! You may need to send them more dvds cause there was only one left in the display thing which I guess isnt really a bad thing.  ;)
