300 you may want to bring a snowmobile to get up into the woods.  All the roads are closed for grooming for the year.  If I had the tag I would be using one.  All the good spots you need one to get into.  That is why people aren't really successful on this hunt.  My words of wisdom for your hunt is.  Bring a snowmobile. Good luck to you.  If you need a hand packing give me a shout.

Beautiful day.  No shots fired today.  No snow mobile here so relying on contacts and boot leather.  Had a six point that was missing his left antler in range but passed on him. Expecting a foot of snow tonight.  Not sure what that will do??

Piggybacking this thread here.
No bull to go after,  but I have a cow-elk hunt coming up next saturday thru Jan 9th.  I drew a tag for it.

Any advise for the area is appreciated.  I was up a couple of weeks ago looking it over and did get one farmer to give me permission to hunt his place, but more places the better.

Thanks,

No luck yet, I am home today to take care of family and business.  The area I've been concentrating on received a lot of pressure so the bulls are not moving thru like they had been.  My bro-in-law split up for about ten minutes yesterday and he kicked a 5X6 out it's bed.  Said he watched it for a minute at 50 yards before it took off. :bash: I'm going to hit it hard for the rest of the week.  I think the foot of snow that would have helped is gone or at least melted, then re-frozen, making a stock almost impossible.  I do have a local taking me up on snow mobiles later this week so looking forward to that.  Heading back in the mornig to give it another go round.

Stick with it!
