We have a season for them, I searched for any postings on this site and couldnt find anything...anybody ever hunt for them in WA? :dunno:

Only 1 for me so far this year. That cold snap sent most of em south at my eastern WA spots.

I used to get several every season along the columbia out of the tri cities.

Yup.  When I was a kid Snipe were a late bird seanon fare.  In central WA look for swamps or slews with  6-10 inches of warm water from mid dec to  the end of the season.  Walk slow and you can sometimes shoot them on the water -  use small shot and an open choke and be ready for the fast flush and learn to wait tilll they are out a ways as their flight straigthen out.  The most I ever got was 3 in a day, but it was after pheasant colsoed and the ducks were gone so it was huntin..
