Season Survivor

This guy survived Rifle Season in Winston Creek - he'll be a dandy waiting for someone next season and I can only hope it will be me in early archery.   :IBCOOL:

He is just a little guy. He needs 3-4 more years IMO.

He's a dandy right now, and will be monster status next year!

3-4 years?! You guys must not hunt elk on the west side. . . Nobody in their right mind would pass that bull during a general season as is, let alone pass it 3-4 more years!  I don't know anyone who'd pass any legal roosevelt bull without a draw tag!

Haha, yep any elk is a good elk on the wetside..  Cow,spike, toad, calf.  Dose not matter.  The bulls I used to see up the Winston,Toutle etc.  when I first moved here back in '95 were a pretty impressive site..  Not so much anymore.  Still some impressive bulls out there but nothing like it used to be.

In general it looks like maybe were starting to see the long term effect from a 3 point or better management.. There are some exceptions and can only hope the Indians or The state dose not screw them up too.   Not all is lost though!   West Wa is a great place to hunt elk with lots of opportunity!!!  And that don't hurt my feelings none!   If I really want a monster bull I still have the East Side.
