Using only a 24" spread credit for the sheds we came up with 203" total gross.  I beleive now that I have seen him alive, I think 24" was a little understatement.

That is a great buck, glad he had the patience to wait out the 175" bucks for a chance at that monster!  A big congrats to Tony!

Fantastic animal! Thanks for sharing; certainly a deer of a lifetime!
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

Awesome.  The gov's eastside deer tag in 2009 went for $7,500.  How much for this year?  That's a bargain!

$7,500 was the whitetail auction tag, not muley.  Muley tag has went over $10K for a while now,

Whats interesting is that the WDFW site lists the 2009 eastside deer tag sold for $7500.00. In 2008 it went for $14,000.00.
They don't list a whitetail tag but I'm pretty sure you're right on the price.

OK-- I am gonna show my ignorance here since I haven't hunted mulies. When you all talk about them migrating, where are they coming from??
Not canada I'm assuming, but the high country? And if so, how come these beasts aren't taken during high buck season????????? Or are they even seen?
Just wondering why December seems to be the Magic time. If you want them earlier in the season, just go higher it would seem to me!
