one bird flew into the window and I thought he was a gonner. Brought inside and placed into a box for an hour. He recovered and flew away

Cool!  That's a Goldfinch in its winter color phase.  I've got a thistle sock hanging by my window and these things flock to it so thick sometimes it's hard to see any of the sock.

Even when it freezes the tweety birds still need water.  Never saw them going after melting icicles before but I guess they do whatever it takes.  Way cool pics.....

Oh to have Bones cam and lens there... those would be unreal pics with a good setup! (not knocking you man...they are cool!)

Reminds me, I sniped some sunflowers from a field recently and wanted to hang them upside down on the fence... gotta get to it!
