Colville area Predator Hunters?

Hey guys, I've been seeing quite a few of what I think are other Predator Hunters in the Colville area. Any belong on this board???

Just curious who it is I've been seeing out there in their snow cammies!

A few years ago, me, a buddy and this old guy who drives a red toyota land cruiser (yea, I know his name! ), we were about the only folks I'd see, but as of lately its been getting crowded. A few more folks out there doing some screaming this last few years.

you mean the red toyota land cruiser that is road hunting all the time! yeah there are some people on here that hunt the north country, but we get out of our rigs and call.

Yea, I'm with ya, love to get out and call me-self, did 5 sets today, but with no luck. Had 6" of fresh snow at 1:30 am, but it was melted down to about 2" in the hills by sun up.

Used the Syco Tweety to no avial.

Oh, and he didn't always "just" road hunt....he was a skinning machine, back when Roger at Pacific use to buy fur. I think he's darn close to 70 now, and I haven't seen him driving around for a year or two.

Went out last weekend , saw a truck parked looked like they needed help , stopped to ask and the gentleman asked me if we were coyote hunting i answered yes , he said yeah i do a lot of calling up around here i have a FoxPro , i just had to chuckle , callers are everywhere anymore , it isnt like it used to be . These are the good old days !!!!!! if you know what i mean .

i go up there when ever my coyote partner is free he lives in valley you have probably ran into his truck around we do ok we see lots more than we shoot. i would like to get into some bobcats some time i have seen them while hunting or driving to hunting spots during the big game season just not while we have been calling.

I'm in Curlew and hunt coyotes just about everyday, year around.

But maybe quite a few folks hunt 'yotes over there, I don't know.....You must be retired? If so, congrats on making it! You ever post any pics, I'd sure like to see 'em, I know I'm lacking in that department me-self most times.

Re-chargeable batteries went dead in my digital, so I missed pics of mine, and my son's bucks this year.....and I like to keep a photo record of our hunting, just for the future.

You get in the woods mostly, or out in the open, or a bit of both??? The woods are tough this time of year.....and oh yeah, you get your driveway clear??? Been pushing snow off and on today, and its STILL coming down. I think we got over 10" out there now.

I always had the winters off pretty much, but just hunt all the time. Yes, I do have alot of land to hunt on except for deer. I've posted some pictures on the Random Pictures section on here. No snow here like what you have. Homehunter and I went coyote hunting in Oroville and he got a dog
yesterday. I hunt mostly in the open because in the woods they can here you too easy. I have tons of pictures of animals near Curlew.

It's been pretty slow over here. I did hear 3-4 coyotes this morning raising hell with my dogs at 6:30 am. But, an old hippie anti lives across the road from me and that's where they were at.

Ain't it funny how some of them folks have moved "out" here....trying to hide from the "man". Yet they don't have the sense to protect themselves.

Plus, she feeds the deer and coyotes and wonders why she hears gunshots......which she hates !!!! I wonder what it's like being that way. I bet she eats meat and kills carrots too.

Funny......I was visiting my folks that live a bit north of me, they had a new neighbor that was over visiting too-He's from the east coast, and I must have walked into a conversation. He was just saying on how guns are just too easy to get in the west.

I just walked in, and told him, there isn't ONE restrictive gun law that can help an honest citizen. Gun laws like that can only hurt the honest citizen.

Just the eastern mentality.

I hear ya. Same with bear calling. 15+ years ago you were lucky if you new a guy or two that did it. Now there is a whole industry around it.

I hear ya. Same with bear calling. 15+ years ago you were lucky if you new a guy or two that did it. Now there is a whole industry around it.

I remember calling the DFW years ago and asking if it was legal to call bear....took 'em a while, talking/thinking among themselves, then they finally said "OK".
