Cleaning the blind...
« on: January 01, 2011, 12:40:53 PM »
So we hunted Ridgefiled on thursday and i couldn't believe how messy the blind was. We took a bag of spent shot shells out and some trash that was left in the blind.
I cleaned up all of the shot shells that were in the water in front of the blind. Why is it so hard for people to pick up after themselves. Kind of hard to blame the trash on non hunters. Please when you are done with the blind clean it up...

Been doin the same all year.
I pick up snacks for the hunt and take the plastic bag with me for garbage.
I've filled everyone so far.
Gotta clean out my decoy bag. Lots of shells in there too.

most of the blinds i've hunted this year have been pretty clean. but i hunted 19  a couple weeks ago and couldn't believe all the garbage and shells laying around. there were probably at least 50 empties floating around in the water.  And guys wonder why birds don't want to finish. First thing i do there after setting decs is pick up all the floating shells and remove the ones that everybody puts up on top of the box blinds.

Okay. Lets discuss some simple rules when hunting in a public blind, be it, refuge or public land.

 Okay?  Here we go.

#1  Don't leave s**t in the blind, ie... shells, plastic bags, your busted decoys. Easy huh?

#2  Don't s**t in the blind and leave it.  :yike:  >:(

If you are going to s**t in a plastic bag and stuff it in a milk jug  :o  :puke:

( which was being used by everyone, to avoid climbing out of the pit blind to pee)

TAKE THE F***ING THING WITH YOU.

If I can carry the nasty thing out , you sure as hell can too. >:(

Okay we are done. :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

It's amazing that it even needs to be talked about (leaving human waste in a blind) !  :yike:  Not that I'm surprised by it... it appears to be more and more "common" to find others'.... "little gifts" to the rest of us.  It's ALMOST comforting to be able to see the toilet paper well in advance to avoid stepping in it.... RIGHT ON THE FRIGGIN' TRAIL.   >:(

wow sounds like there are a few guys that use ridgefield as a dump they need to find out which blind it is and who was the last one in it and start kicking some ass and not letting them come back.
