« on: January 05, 2011, 11:18:40 AM »
I MADE IT OUT TO BURBANK BEFORE IT GOT DARK YESTERDAY.  CAUGHT ABOUT 30+ PERCH  AVERAGE WAS ABOUT 7 INCHES.  CAUGHT A COUPLE THAT WERE AROUND 9

THE ICE WAS ABOUT 1.5-2 INCHES THICK.  BUT VERY CLEAR SO IT WAS EXTRA SCARY  :chuckle:

caught another 12 keppers today,  and about 5 small ones.  the fish were alot bigger today.  and they were biting alot lighter.  i literally had to have the tip of my pole right by my face to see a bite.  the ice was alot weaker today too,  was cracking like crazy.  there was three other guys (my buddies) fishing when i came there but they had no luck.

HEY BE CAREFUL.  CAN YOU HEAR ME TYPING?  :chuckle:

I love to ice fish  on fresh clear ice but I usually wait until 4 inches. I always carried 2 screw drivers attached to my wrists in case the ice broke. Happened to me 2 times when younger. Never heard or saw someone cut a hole in the ice with a machete.

POST MORE PICS!!
