Ancient Photos revisited
« on: January 06, 2011, 06:17:11 PM »
I was going through our old photo albums today, scanning them and then took them into Photoshop to to see if I could bring them back to somewhat decent so that I can save them onto a DVD.

That got me in a dangerous mode  :yike:  :bdid:: I was thinking which means "working without any tools"  :bdid:. That brings me to the thought of this thread.

I know you all have them, so let's see a few of old photos of yourself. I'll start off:

and some ribbons I won with my old Minolta XD-5 35 mm film camera:

I double dog dare you to post them!

Believe it or not, we were on a float trip down the river and we fed ourselves by killing rabbits or what ever else we could shoot or catch on a rod and reel. Life was Great back then and much less complicated. :)

724wd, a couple minutes in Photoshop can really clean up old photos. Check these out.  Not perfect, but that's just a couple minutes of work.

thanks!  i use CS3 (ID, PS and IL) all day as a graphic designer.  when i come home, i usually don't do much design work... kinda like my dad who owns a body shop.  last thing he wants to do is work on cars!   :chuckle:

Here is another old photo that I had to work on last night. I had to really crop the heck out of it and clean up so spots on the horse. The paper is completely deteriorating from age and I think it somehow got wet or damp through the years:

Awesome photos everyone! :) It's pretty neat to see all the old photos and to share in some of the memories that are contained in them. :) It's a shame to to think that these great memories are put into old photo albums and stuck away in a closet forgotten for years! :(

Sadly it has been gone for about 40 years now! :( The engine and running gear were not factory when I got rid of the car. I stuck the running gear out of a wrecked Corvette in it.  :yike: Complete 427 V8, Tranny, and rear end, plus lead in the frame to keep it on the road.  :yike:

When I got married we had to get rid of the car because we couldn't afford the gas and insurance on it.  :( I had a lead foot and racked up way to many tickets with it. :( The gal that bought it had it 4 days before she got in a bad wreck and totaled it.  :'( :'(

Here are a few more from Idaho when I was young.  The horse behind my sister in that pic was pure evil.  She used to run the cows away from there calves and try to adopt them.
