Most have never actually seen a booner let alone killed one, this deer is nice, but not even close to 170! its narrow, avg mass, beams are not long.. that head on shows that. 150 at best.. I would say 148.

x2.

Super nice buck no matter what.  Wouldn't hesitate on him! Hope you see him when it counts.

Still say upper 140's to lower 150's. Here is a few pictures of a mid 150 class buck. I picked his sheds up this year and with an 18" inside spread he would score 156".

The last pic is crazy....  main beams are much better than i thought...  i'm thinking closer to 160 now....

fyi, a lot of us have seen and a few of us shot booners...  especially people who hunt in stevens.  ;)

I just noticed in the pic with his head down facing us that his tines have a little curve in them also.  Probably a good inch longer than they look from the side.

He could easily be 165+   :twocents:

Looks like longer main beams and better mass than the 156 buck.

G1s  3 1/2  3 1/2
G2s  9 1/2  7 1/2
G3s  10 1/2  10 1/2
G4s  8 1/2   8 1/2

H1s  5      5
H2s  4 1/2   4 1/2
H3s  4      4
H4s  4      4

MBs  25    25

18 (could be more)

Left 72 1/2   Right  74 1/2

164 total

What am I looking at wrong?

25" main beams?? 25" main beams on a Whitey are big! Ive only killed 2 whiteys with barely 25" mains and those bucks scored 177 and 194 and are quite abit larger than pictured buck. That head on picture showed it all.. no outward growth ..hard bend and around, the beams are 20" maybe 21" the h4 is 3.5. G2 is shorter and g4.

Huntnw has it pretty much nailed.  You are too long on your mains by quite a bit.  I also am thinking 20 or 21 max (thats up to 10 inches off right there) and your mass measurements are all too big padding your score another 6 inches or more.

I doubt he is 18 inside, but the only pic I can see, thats hard to tell.  Probably 16 or less.

A full grown WA buck is generally about 18" eartip to eartip.  Looks like his ears go inside his rack on the left side and slightly better on the right side?

How wide?  How much mass?  How long MBs?

p.s.  I shot a tiny buck this year (didn't get to hunt WA state)....  he had 20 1/4 MBs and only scored 114 iches.

The side view clearly shows his beams reaching almost to his nose...  the other shows it wrapping around...  if that deer has 21 inch mains then i'm santa claus...

I could be off on the mass but I don't not by much if i am... he has very nice mass...  I also left off the 2 or more inches in the brow tines.

Definitely not 25" mainbeams. I have them at 21...at best 22 possibly. I believe your mass measurements area also a bit high. I have a couple bucks with 5 inch bases and this one definitely doesn't have that mass. I have the buck around 17 inches inside...give or take a little bit.

I don't believe he is in the 140's like some people have him but I think high 150's gross would be close. If he grossed 160's as a non-typical it would surprise me but he definitely won't go 160 typical gross.

Either way..it's a shooter in my book...Great buck!
