no real dock to speak of... there are a couple of boat launches tho.. Stayed at the W end of the park myself... E end seemed to have more amenities.  :twocents: good place to take the wife and kid!

If you go be sure to bring your, LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, REI stainless steel coffee mug, yuppie crap, Prius, $1000 tent. Are you getting my drift ?

Go to Conconully Wa. instead. You can ride your ATVs, fish, hunt, BBQ, drive around in the mountains on logging roads, They have food places a couple of bars you can take the kids into, State Park, Upper/Lower Lakes. Much better place than Twisp/Winthrop. They have alot of lakes to fish in that area.

If your gonna stay at the state park you might want to look at the web site for reservations, its a popular area and has some restrictions you will want to know before going.

It sure has changed. We drove through there before the snow to deliver a Hewescraft to Tom & Jerry's. I wouldn't go there if you paid me. I'm too much of a redneck to watch all those nature lovers.

I have hung a deer out of the trees in the Silverline campground without any problems.  The fishing there in the spring is fine, nothing huge, but its not that hard to catch a limit of 14" to 16"  If you stay at silverline, there are some docks you can fish off of.  And you dont run into the hippies in the spring, its all people fishing.  Even in the summer, there arent any more hippies than there are rednecks.  Its a nice place to camp.

I missed a bobcat but didn't kill anything... It was cold in the morning but was 80-90 deg by noon... I only hunted mornings... i would have taken the deer to a meat locker, too damn hot! I wasn't worried about a confrontation, the 2 mornings i was there i had to open and close the main gate.  :twocents:

Perrygin lake, is a beautiful Lake that has allot to offer if you work around a few things. There is a dock at Silverline that produces lots of 10-14 inch fish. The State Park bought the old Derry's farm and turned that into a State Park West, with a ton of very close tents sites and a few RV sites. The main State Park is very nice, but you need reservations in advanced to get a good spot. Most fishing boats anchor at the south/east end though I prefer to troll or drift. The wind can be a pain sometimes. There are no wake hours I believe until 10:00 am - 6:00PM. Do not even attempt to try to fish on a nice day between those hours. Way to many PWCs and water Skiers. Do not forget the Crayfish pot! The lake is loaded with them. If you happen to have SCUBA gear you can get a limit in a few minutes. We go many times a year to Perrygin lake we usually stay at Silverline then drive to the State Park to swim. The best time to fish is in September after the crowds leave. Last year we were there the last weekend in September. We rented a cabin in town. We limited in a couple hours both days with only one other boat there the whole weekend.
