Is this the Rock Creek out of P-Burg?
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Yes, fishing  midway up on RC. Fantastic salmon fly hatch that usually takes place around first week of June

Oh, now you've done it Ribka and Jackelope.
My Dad was born and raised in Missoula.  Since I was 6 through 18 we always spent 2 weeks of summer vacation fly fishing the middle stretches of Rock Creek.  Home was the Bitterroot Flats campground. One of my favoite stretches of the creek is right there at the south end of the campground.  Couldn't hook a fish all day in there until the last 45 minutes of daylite when the evening hatch began.  Then it was hang on time.  I caught my biggest 'bow in the creek in that stretch. 29" and was pure heaven to set her free.
I should dredge up some old pics and scan from back in the day when catching a 100 12-20" fish a day in the 70's was the norm with the occasional one that would top 24".

My parents now live on lower Rock Creek, retired.  The salmon fly hatch and an early August trip to try and nail the spruce moth hatch is an every year event.

Oh ,the childhood memories!!!
