reccomendations on beginner bow? thoughts on pse stinger?
« on: February 06, 2011, 07:18:14 PM »
i am growing more and more interested with archery... havent shot a compound in a very long time... i know i need to go to riverside archery and test out some gear, but what do you guys think about that pse stinger? seems like a good price... ive heard alot of good things about pse... seriously considering getting a 60lbs "field ready" package (has everything you need minus broadheads, even comes with arrows)....
catch it. kill it. cook it. eat it.
Forget the bear spray, use wasp killer. Concentrated delivery stream, 10X the product, and only $3.00 on sale.

I smoke two fish in the morning, I smoke two fish at night, I smoke two fish in de afternoon makes me feel alright

I am a big pse fan. But the one bow they make that I don't like is the stinger. Get the pse bow madness, great bow for only a little more $.

You can buy the madness on ebay for around 500.00/ if you want a 60lb'er you can get them for around 450. If you play the auctions you can pick them up for around 400.00

here is a buy it now bow for a 60 or 70lb'er : 470.00 shipped to your door.

The stinger is heavy a lot of hand shock and just a decent bow at best.

You might look onto the g5 hammer.  I think you can get a package right around 500.  I shot it a couple months back, very smooth and fast for the money

if you are thinking about the 2011 season get out and shoot as many bows as you can and narrow it down to what feels and fits you the best don't "settle" for something just because it seems like a good deal.Buy a decent target and wear it out, before ya know it tomorrow is opening day
good luck and practice, practice, practice.

You might also look at parker's stuff. I just upgraded from mine after 7 years if use.  I never had a problem with it

I'd look at Martin if you need a good bow on a bugget. I love my Hoyt but my wife and mom feel the same about there Martins.
