trying to decide on a new bow

So i have finally decided im ready to buy a new bow and its a harder decision then i thought it would be.  i am looking for a few personal opinions from whoever would like to throw one out there.  i have really been looking at the new Hoyt Carbon Element and the Hoyt Maxxis 31, i have also shot and thought about the Matthews Z7.  any info would be great. thank you

I Love my new Hoyt Rampage XT.  If Money is not an option then the carbon Element would be my choice.  If money is a major factor than go with the rampage xt.  it is basically the maxxis and the only difference is the riser. I cannot tell the difference and is a few hundred cheaper.  But I would definitly go with the Element if Money is no factor.  That bow is awesome.

 Don't just settle on a few bows you heard good things about, get out and shoot THEM ALL and then decide which
one you like.Good example I have a buddy who bought A Hoyt Maxxis because he heard good things about. So he buys one
online for $150 less than the local guy has it for, never shot the Maxxis before. A week later he gets the bow in the mail,
heads down to Wholesale Sports and buys a new rest and sight and so on, he's like $1300 in this bow now, he gets it all setup,
and finally starts flinging arrows. He calls me a couple days later and is complaining because he spent all this money on a new
bow and it feels funny to him, he says it's got vibe in the grip and on and on he complains about it   guess he should
have listened and shot one before he bought one  , funny thing is I met up with him the other day at the local archery
range, and he's shooting his old Mathews

 Jason has an excellent point. One of which can be taken from there, buy your bow at an archery shop and not online. And, IMHO, not a big time chain store. I think that the customer service and what you will get from a "Ma and Pa" shop far outweighs any money that you may save by buying a bow elsewhere, but then again, that is my opinion.

 I bought a bow in 2005 from Sportco. The whole deal ended up being pretty good, but then follow up service was horrendous. I pulled all my hair out. They could of cared less about me. Once, I ordered up some new arrows, like 6 weeks before elk season. Went back every week for 5 weeks...no arrows for me. Finally, went to another shop and had them make some up for me in emergency fashion.

 I then bought a Bowtech Destroyer 350 from Lucky Shot Archery, last year, down in Centralia (over and hour drive for me, but well worth it). The experience was honestly the best experience that I have ever had buying ANYTHING. I made new friends, and continue making friends every time that I go down there.

Thanks for all the great info guys. I have been shooting and researching for a little over a year now and think I know my bow but wanted to see others input.  Money is not to much of an issue seeming I leave for guam for a month on Monday and shpuld make enough money for whatever bow. I appreciate all the help and will let you know what I decide to purchase
