Lookin to do some clammin for the first time around hoodsport not sure which beaches to go to been browsing wdfw website for info on the seasons etc. was wondering if anyone knew some good beaches around hoodsport? any input would be greatly appreciated

Edit: looking at mostly around the north bay area

Theres a bunch of good places in that area.Right around the corner from Lilliwaup is a good one.Eagle creek is another and the old Triton cove boat launch too.Heck right at the Potlatch ramp for oysters.Dont know about the clams.

Drive north on 101 from Hoodsport at low tide, any muddy looking area will hold clams.  Lots of areas between Hoodsport and Lilliwop. Oyster look for rockier areas.

For steamer clams keep going North of Hoodsport to the Duckabush Flats. I have seen it take longer to walk out to the clam beds than to dig 3 or 4 limits. On the North side of the clam beds is all Oysters too. We make a trip for both over there each Spring.
