I thought I would share this with you guys and gals. My brother did this to my dads 870 when we were kids. I remembered this while observing the hunter ed with my son last night and they were going through the barrel obstructions and wrong ammo part of their class. I told the instructor about this piece of my dads gun and he indicated he would love to see it! So tonight I'm going to take it to the class and go one step further and donate it to his class for other students to see up close.

That was a result of getting mudd in the end of the barrel! When we were kids we hunted scootney res. and we had to walk from the blind to the channel to get a ride across to the truck and I told my brother to go down about 100 yrds and we would jump it! I think that after we seperated he stumbled and stuck the barrel in the mud and then shot at a duck when it jumped. He was ok and the lesson was learned even though he don't hunt anymore. I was happy to give to the right people for others to see.
