So is this in a zoo or actually in the wild?

I would have a hard time believing the bigger one is a kit.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

I can say I viewed them as close as 3' away, they are both the same size, the picture is deceptive. To be exact they are both just under a year old. Still technically a "kit" though almost full size. They were very fun to watch, very playful critters.

Did you try to pet one? :chuckle:

I haven't seen any even when I was in Alaska. But my buddy shot a dall sheep in the Brooks range and they came in stole his horns and hide and tried to bury them. When he found them the were running off with some meat growling. He tried to take a pot shot at them but couldn't connect. They definately are down right onrey!!

Dman, if you've seen'em with your own eyes, then I certainly believe you that they are kits.  But you have to admit, thats one decieving picture if thay are both kits.

Kinda like those field photos where the deer's nose is as big as the hunter's head  :P
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Whats the story behind this abandonment?  Where were they found?  Documenting wolverines in WA has been very rare, curious where and who found them.

If my memory serves, they were found in Idaho, the mother was killed somehow. Given all rehabilitated critters at NW trek are released locally, I believe they will be released somewhere in State.
