Fished the ronde the last 2 days
« on: February 12, 2011, 07:39:44 AM »
My dad and myself spent the last 2 days fishing the ronde.. water temps were chilly with morning temps of 35 and warming to 38 in afternoon..visibility was 2 ft with great water level weather was beautiful and sunny. Fishing started slow, but started working my favorite holes and began to find where they were layed up.. between the 2 of us we hooked almost 50 fish.

Hooked alot of 29-30" fish.. also 5 wild fish. Looks like this year could shape up like last season.last year was the best year I have had steelhead fishing ever on the ronde.

I love this river, the solitude, scenery and the people. I have been fishing the river for now 23 years, still fish with same group of guys every year, kinda like a family reunion every feb. Headed back down for 5 days in a week.
