Bearpaw 2011 Season Photos

Figured I would start a new thread for 2011. Here's a photo of a buffalo taken last week on our buffalo hunt in Montana. Hunter took the buffalo with a 12 guage shotgun using a Barnes slug which worked very well.

Wish I had more freezer space. Would love to do a buff hunt with a bow.

We still have several big old bulls and maybe another cow or young bull available this season if anyone is interested.

We are taking reservations for next fall now. If you want a yearling cow or older cow, make reservations in advance if possible. The yearling cows sell out first every year. We can reserve a hunt with a $200 deposit.

I went on one of those buffalo hunts (Cali) and just loved it, and would like to do it again after I retire.

We like to go out and find the herd and shoot one, unfortunately just before this hunt there was bad weather and the buffalo were right at the corral, so not much of a hunt on this one. For the best hide Dec-Feb is best, but for the best hunt, Sept-Nov is best so they are out on range. As soon as there is heavy snow cover they are going to be at least fairly close to the hay.
