I must say the first time I seen the posts of BBB I was hooked and I hadn't even tasted it b4. I wanted to make it asap. Well today is the day I started curing 18 1/2lbs of pork shoulder  . Paid more money for the pork than I'm used to  but I got tired waiting for the prices to go down. No pics of rubbing my pork  didn't think you all would mine  . Ten or so day's from now there will be pics and I'll be smokin bacon

Well thanks for not showing the rubbing pics.  You will be happy, 18lbs is alot to start with, but it will go fast!  Most thick cut bacon will go for $4 a package so you will be way ahead of the curve I'm sure.

yeah it's quite a bit of meat for a first timer but I ain't sceered  The look on my wife's face now that another story  It's gonna be a long ten days though.
