Thoughts on the z7 Extreme?
« on: March 02, 2011, 06:48:07 AM »
I am replacing my DXT with a new Z7extreme in the next week or so.  My questions are for those of you who have been using the Z7x or have experience with it.
1. How is it working for ya so far?
2. Are you finding it to be all it is hyped up to be.
3. Tuneability?
4. Stability/ accuracy (it is so short)
5. Anything I should be aware of?

Thanks

My draw length is 28.   I chose the extreme over the mag for two reasons. the brace height and for the short cam to cam length.  I plan on deploying it this season in some ground blind situations.    I did entertain the mag idea.   Thanks much for your input.

I have not shot the extreme but I do love my Z7, I bought it last spring & used it all season. Great bow. Since you are using the DXT it seems like this is a perfect upgrade if you like that size of bow. For some reason I stick with the traditional Mathews, the smaller bows just feel different. One day I will get over my "old school " mentality. Have fun with your new bow, I don't see how you can go wrong. Mike

The biggest problem I have with that bow is it isn't a HOYT!  :chuckle: :chuckle:
If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

I got my new bow and WOW...love it.  Compact, stable, accurate and quiet as heck!    I am happy with my choice and would tell others in the market for a new bow....give it a try at your local shop.
