Remington 870 stock parts
« on: March 02, 2011, 08:20:18 PM »
Hey guys
I am thinking about swapping my stock and forend on my synthetic black for camo ones for my 870 express. Have you got any advise for me? Is there a better way to get my trusty old gun camo'd?

Also thinking about getting a compstock or other recoil reducing system for my other 870 this is a supermag that kicks the snot outta me. :yike:

any help would be appreciated

thanks -Drew

I bought a limbsaver recoil pad for mine took what kick there was and got rid of it. As for the stock not sure i changed mine from wood to synthetic it was a five minute job.

No offense but why would you burn the good stuff breaking clays? Buy the cheap stuff... $3.50 a box. It doesn't kick and it's cheap.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Maybe before spending the money on new parts, try painting a camo pattern. There are vids on u-tube showing how to do it. I haven't done it, but am considering trying the same thing.

The 870 I want to camo is a pawn shop special...all black synthetic. The self camo sounds interesting. You gonna try it?
I want to see how yours turns out, maybe I will try it, with your lessons learned...
