Last Night's Coon Hunt

Boy oh boy you couldn't script it any better than last night. I took a co-worker out with his grandson, I believe he is 13. So we get down there around 8pm and head out, perfect weather, mid-thirties and a nice little breeze. Rain was three or four hours away. Took both male Leopard Curs out. Montana Bo my merle Leopard was trying to start a track but was having a little trouble getting it going, then lifted his head and shot downstream. He ended up treed about 300 yards. Perfect place, big ol narly tree with nothing around it for 100 yards. We get about 100 yards away and I see those nice big glowing eyes at the top of the tree. Dogs were hammering away. I let the young man shoot it out. He made a perfect shot and out tumble a medium sized coon. Made it back to the truck and the rain started about a half hour later. Great time!!

Be come one with Nature......... Then Marinade it.
One moment you're flying south for the winter, then - BANG - gravy.
