PHOTO OF THE MONTH CONTEST  March 2011

Family and the great outdoors


- NEW RULE!   First 50 entries ONLY qualify for the contest. If it is determined that your entry does not meet this months theme, it may be removed so that others may participate.  I will send a pm to you if I do this. 
 -Photo size MUST be 800x600 pixels or LESS  Most violated rule PLEASE!!!!!! -Photos need to have been taken within the last calendar year.
-Photo must have been taken by the person submitting it, or of that person in the case of a field photo.
-ONE entry per contestant.   MAKE IT COUNT.  First entry will be the only eligible one.
-Entries must be submitted by midnite of the 26th of the current month in order to qualify for that Months contest.
-Photos of Washington material will receive preference in judging as the winner will be posted on the front of a Washington site. 
-Previous Photo of the month entries will not be eligible for this months contest
-The winner of the previous months contest is not eligible for the next months contest.
-Entries will be accepted or rejected as is, meaning the judges will no longer enhance, or alter images. Resizing is legal if you can talk a moderator into doing it for you.
The photos will be evaluated by myself and some of the admins/moderators.  The top two or three may then be voted on by your peers. A winner (NO TIES) will be announced when the poll is over.  If there is a tie, we'll sort it out.  This may vary depending on how many entries are submitted.

The Winner will have their photo posted on the front page AND be eligibe for the Photo of the year contest.  You will also be sent a hat or shirt from our sponsor BEARPAW OUTFITTERS.

January....photo of the year contest/open
February....Winter Predator hunting
March...
April.....Shed antlers
May.....Fishing (combo this year...Turkey/Fishing)
June......trailcams
July....Landscapes, spring flowers summer hiking trips etc.(wildlife or scenery can be included)
August.......Velvet bucks or bulls
September ...bowhunting/Archery
October....open
November.... Field photos
December.... Winter scenes (wildlife and scenery acceptable...anything winter)

this is my nephew helping me and my buddies pack out my first bull last november.it was a late night.I shot him just before dark and was a mile and a half behind a gate.It was around midnight when this pic was taken and Jared was getting a little tired.

It is a known truth that when you raise your kids there's so much going on that you miss some of the most important things in life you ment to teach them...then when you get a seccond chance, it's grandkids and your job is clear, AND fufilling! This is 10 year old Quentin, fly fishing  the Kalama on his own!

This is one of the best pictures I've seen on this website in a long time. That is the perfect picture of family and the outdoors I think.

This was my wifes first King on her own, she grabbed the rod off the downrigger and brought the fish to the net. Having landed plenty of fish, this was her happiest moment doing it all alone.
