I killed a 1x2 couple years back and the spike side looked like that.

We had a spike on one of are ranches that did that last year but I could never get a picture of him

I've got some old 35mm TC pictures of a spike bull elk with an 8" or so corkscrew spike.  Was pretty neat.  Wonder if it's a one year thing or genetic, because I'd have like to have seen him the year after if he'd had a goofy branched antler.
