north sound RMEF banquet.
« on: March 12, 2011, 11:03:51 PM »
I went to the banquet tonight and won a Remington 770 with a Bushnell scope in 7mm.  I know its not the best rifle but I had a great time. I think the banquet was a total success.  Did anyone else go?

Congrats on the rifle as I told you at the banquet.  The live auction brought about 23K I think.  Maybe some year I'll win something there.  At least I got to bid on a gun.  That's some action...

I can't believe that only two members from here attended the banquet.

Believe it or not, not everyone supports RMEF.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

I know and don't have a problem with that.  I just thought out of the 200 plus people that attended that a few more members from here would have gone.

I would've attended the banquet but for some reason I can't remember getting an invitation, or if I did get one, it got "set aside" and I forgot about it. I'm a first year member as of late spring, early summer last year. Congrats on the raffle  ;)

To low on funds this year or we would haave been there.  Very bummed, another month and it would have been doable.
