22-250 ammo
« on: March 23, 2011, 05:43:47 PM »
so i used part of my uncle sam rebate to pick up a rem 700 sps varmit in 22 250. got it sighted in with 55gr winchester silvertips simply because ive used the silvertips before and know what to expect from them. as of right now its punching 3 leaf clover shaped 3 shot groups at 100 yds.

my question is for those that do shoot this round what is your favorite round, im trying to find a cheaper (less than $30) quality round. i cant reload as i dont have my press here with me in bozo.

Thanks
Uplander

I take it that you mean that shoot this cal, what is your fave round? If you are buying factory. I would also check out the nosler trophy grade ammo. The btips in 22-250 should run about 20.00

prvi partizan 55 grain soft point from www.grafs.com $12.99 a box with only $4.95 shipping with no hazmat fee when I bought mine. I bought 200 rounds with zero problems. I shoot only varmints though.
I have the same gun and it was shooting these about the same groups at 100 yards. I'm gonna buy more.

I just checked and the prices and shipping are still the same.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

My BinL shoots Winchester White box 45gr HPs at 4000fps $28./40rnds very accurate in his tikka and while putting down coyotes with authority they are very pelt friendly.  I'll be running them in mine when I get the barrel chamberred.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Make mine a Minaska

:)Look at the blue box Federal and Hornady makes some reasonable ammo.
