I bow hunt for elk unless, I draw a multi season tag
Might have to switch to the new 340wby and 200g accubonds for some long range hunting

Washington elk hunting I use a 300 Wthrby Mag/180 gr Nosler Partition and in New Mexico a 340 Wthrby Mag/210gr Nosler Partition.
The New Mexico hunting often offers much longer shots consistantly out to 300-500 yards. While the 300 is plenty of gun for either we needed an excuse to get another gun.

That's definately a thumper load, Thumper!
You using the newer "tipped" Bear Claws? If so, I'd be curious as to your likings of them comarpared to the old Bear Claws with the "blunt" lead tip. I loved the closer randed capabilities of that bullet, but struggled everytime shooting them long range.
