Wow!! No wonder there are some land owners that don't let people on there property.  I don't understand why you would say this on the net.  Might want to think before you post something like this again.

I would have asked if I could get it for him,might have got some brownie points...I gave a rancher a days work for access to hunt his ranch...heck I made a couple hundred dollars in fur that year just on his place

I thought about it, but he had a chip on his shoulder, so I really don't want to go on his property at all now.  Like I said earlier in the thread, if he was a nice guy, I would have loved to go and get it for him just to have the thrill of picking up a nice antler!  Plus, there's an 8-point elk antler (370 or so) that was shed last Thursday in the same area I might have found for him too.  I have total respect for someone not allowing me to go on their property, but it was the way he handled it.

Thats one thing about the forums is you could be joking or mean one thing and its taken another way. Then the next thing you know their riding your rear until someone else comes along and he gets the meat..
