What do you want to know ? What part of Sherman are you going to be hunting ? We usually start seeing bears in May. Depends I guess because of the weather.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Killmore-we had three points,  i really didnt expect to draw for that unit.  CAMPMEAT-I really dont know much about the unit, i hunted whitetails up that way a long time ago but i dont really remember anything about it.  I live in ellensburg so i think that the republic side of the unit would be a little closer, but it doesnt really matter we will go wherever the bears are, I was just hoping to find out which side of the unit is better.  I dont need an exact spot but a general location would be great. I really appreciate the help

Lg. Have seen quite a few bears on both sides of the sherman unit. How much time you going to be hunting for bear.

One year I saw 18 bears driving over Boulder Pass/Curlew area hauling wood chips. I started seeing them in May and finished seeing them in September. ( only on Boulder )

Wow, that is alot of bears.  my partner is a teacher so he only has two days he can take off.  we will probably be over there two three day weekends in may, and then memorial day if need be.  we will probably go over in april too just to get a feel for the area.

The best advice I can offer is to wait until May, usually the last 2 weeks is best, unless we have an early spring, then the second week can be real good. Pretty rare to see many bear in April here. :twocents:
